This unique, solid bronze pitcher plant sculpture was donated for for sale at
$3000.00 with all proceeds going to the Joseph Pines Preserve as
part of our fund raising efforts.   The sculpture was created and
manufactured by Bill Scholl. This is the last of five sculptures created by
Mr. Scholl and he allowed us to sell this item with all money going
to the preserve.

The sculpture is based on a specimen of S. purpurea from Sussex
County, Virginia.  Lights are embedded within the flowers and leaves.
The bronze leaves have raised veins replicating the vascular structure
of the plant.  The leaves are removable.  The base of the sculpture
mimics a sphagnum hummock and moss nodules are clearly visible.
A patina was hand applied to the sculpture and replicates Sarracenia
purpurea pigmentation.  This beautifully detailed sculpture is
approximately 23 inches tall, 11 inches wide and 11 inches deep.
